in sonic fairyland the warm emotional responses are often evoked by making the music seem to be coming back from ages and over a distance - create an spatio-temporal fantasy.
like AM radio it came across miles and from long ago ..but, is still cool/goovy/profound whathaveyou - a far away broadcast for the audience. too new and shiney or techno up-to-now is dulled by being contemporaneous - a sheen lingers not much past the next morning's shower.

i prefer to see whatever as a possibility, a model for emulation providing the study reveals something worth gleaning. opportunities for useful insights are ripe in every direction if we're so attuned.
